Oil on canvas, signed on both sides. Title: Marina, Costa Brava. It represents the sea of the Costa Brava. Made in 1956. Ángel Planells (1898-1981) was a prominent Spanish modernist painter, born in Barcelona, known for his skill in the use of color and light in his Artworks, which include landscapes, portraits and still lifes. Planells, who was a contemporary of Salvador Dalí, shared with him the artistic environment of the time, although his approach was more aligned with modernism than with the surrealism of the famous painter from Figueras.
