Eduardo Arranz Bravo (1941– 2023) was – and is – a Spanish artist with a great presence in the artistic panorama of the 20th and 21st centuries. Arranz Bravo held retrospective exhibitions in São Paulo and Barcelona, participated in key competitions on the international scene such as the Venice Biennale and is represented at the MoMA in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts in Vitoria, the Museum of Seville and the Reina Sofía Museum of Art in Madrid, among other institutions.
His close collaboration (of almost 10 years) in plastic art with the artist Rafael Bartolozzi is relevant. Together with him, Robert Llimós and other artists, he formed a group of artists from 1968 to 1970. He held individual exhibitions in Rome, Beijing, Moscow, Amsterdam, Seville, Stockholm, Barcelona, Paris (Louvre Museum – 1971), Madrid, Mallorca, San Francisco, New York…
Abstraction, surrealism, neo-figurativism, art-pop, his artistic career has alternated between elements of these artistic currents.
