(Artist's proof). This copy belongs to the "avant la lettre" circulation, the publisher being Sala Gaspar (Barcelona), and the printer Puresa (Barcelona). The film "Umbracle" was directed by Pere Portabella, starring Christofer Lée and Janine Mestres. The script was written by the filmmaker Pere Portabella and the poet Joan Brossa. For the occasion, 500 posters were printed on plain paper measuring 78x6 cm, and 50 copies like the one offered here (on Guarro paper and with watermark from the Gaspar Room) measuring 74.5x56 cm, signed and justified out of 50. Artwork in good condition with signs of age.

  • Rafael Senet: "Bridge with river" (1856-1926).

    English:Author: Rafael Senet, Seville (1856-1926). Title: Bridge with river. Description: oil on board signed in the lower left corner. Measurements without frame 13x18 cm. Measurements with frame 25x30 cm. Artwork in good condition. He took his first steps at the School of Fine Arts in Seville with Teodoro Aramburu, Joaquín Domínguez Bécquer and Eduardo Cano. After a brief period in Madrid in 1880, and with the help of the banker Ramón de Ibarra, he travelled to Rome where he fell under the influence of José Villegas Cordero. In Italy he travelled painting in the south of the peninsula and in the Veneto. For The Return from Fishing in Naples he was awarded a second medal at the National Fine Arts in 1884. That same year he won the same award at the International in Munich. He was also present at the Exhibition of the Centre of Watercolourists in Barcelona and at the Fifth International Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1907. Senet Pérez was linked to the group of landscape painters from Alcalá de Guadaira, led by Emilio Sánchez Perrier. A painter from Venice, many of his Artworks are in private English collections, sold by the London dealer Arthur Tooth.
